A Great Candidate For Nevada

Aaron Manfredi was born in Torrance, CA and was raised in Raton, NM. He’s enjoyed a successful private and public sector career including being a small business owner. He’s worked in education, law enforcement, nonprofits, real estate, and gaming to name a few. As an educator Aaron worked at Canarelli Middle School (Reading, English, Special Ed) and at Faith Lutheran Middle/High School (licensed sub).

He’s devoted his personal time to coaching pop warner and varsity high school football (Sierra Vista High School) and spent endless amounts of hours supervising and guiding at risk youth as a Clark County Juvenile Probation Officer.

As a nonprofit founder/executive director (Asperger’s Training, Employment and Life Skills) and contractor for the State of Nevada (Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation) his team successfully secured competitive employment for 173 adults with autism, high functioning disabilities, disabled veterans, and ex-felons.

Aaron’s served on numerous executive boards over the years including Project FOCUS (UNLV-Dept of Education), Operation Fire HEAT (local fire fighters), The Achievement Academy, INC (President), UNLV Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders (Ambassador), UNLV Veterans Alumni Club (President), Las Vegas Realtors Association (PAC Committee), Nevada Promise Scholarship Mentor (CSN) and he partners with local organizations and professionals to collect business suits for the Veterans Treatment Court (Las Vegas Justice Court).

In 2017, Aaron was the only civilian to graduate from the Las Vegas City Fire & Rescue / LVMPD Leadership Academy. An eight-month course that educated him and his peers on discovering the driving force and reason behind behavior of others, and  to learn how to influence their choices and help them overcome any obstacle.

Aaron resides in Las Vegas with his girlfriend Kristi and her two children (Kyrin, 17 and Kyle, 14) who are students at Spring Valley High School.

To expand the reach of higher education in Nevada, we need to lower tuition, find new ways to generate revenue, protect our students on and off campus, and expand our workforce development programs.
